April is National Autism Awareness Month!

Let's get together with dancers, from all over the Hampton Roads area and Southeastern VA, to celebrate dance in all forms and raise money and awareness for the children and families affected by Autism.

 As a mother of a 7 year old son on the spectrum, I completely understand the need for education and increased awareness!

 Please come out and support our local families with ASD!

Kalaa 11 ~ 1pm

Raks Asaya

This class will feature a Saidi cane dance. Students will learn to work with the cane as they learn a fun folkloric choreography. Kalaa will focus on technique and rhythms associated with this ancient “dance of the people”.

Brianna 1:30 ~ 3:30pm

The Complete Choreography Toolkit

Brianna demystifies the choreography process from start to finish.  Students will learn the 3 core elements of a choreographed routine and how to maximize each.  Includes a full choreography with complete notation as well as templated handouts on each element in the Toolkit for students to use on their own.
